TALENT DAY CELEBRATION

Government College of Teacher Education Thycaud conducts each year a dedicated and exclusive Talent day for the new coming first year B.Ed. students. The event provides a platform for showcasing the various talents of the pupil as per their wish. Talent day of 2020 -22 batch was conducted on March 2nd, 2021. The Programme was titled as LYRA 2K21. The event was held on Seminar hall of the college. The Coordinator of the programme was Mrs. Rajeshwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Natural Science. The Student coordinators were Ajmal Sadique Karatuchali, Madhuri Krishnan S, Parvathy U, Suresh Kumar, Prasad S   of 1st year B.Ed. The function was inaugurated by our beloved Principal Dr. Rajeshwari K followed by her beautiful and inspiring speech which threw a light of motivation to all the new comers. The programme was also graced by the wonderful words of our vice principal Dr. A.V. Sujith who highlighted significance of art & stage presence in the field of teaching. The events took off with a beautiful classical group dance led by Mrs. Merlin Boban of Natural Science department. It was followed by solo song of Sister Smitha of English department. Session was blended with musical duets by Akhil Mohan I, Vishnu S Nair, Saranya Shakthidaran, Thalhana Rahman, Jobina, Shibina & Abhinand . A cinematic duet dance was performed by Krishna M S and Alka S Nair. Malayalam Poem recitations by Suresh Kumar & Nandakripa added another flavour of rhythm to the events. M.Ed. students also made presence in the function with a group song led by Arathy Krishnan. It was followed by another group song led by Vishishta of first year B.Ed. The most unexpected gift to the audience in the morning session was the Song by our most beloved teacher Sreenath Unniyambath.

                                                             The afternoon session was a real treat to the teachers, staffs and all the students with a wide variety of performances. It started with the Fashion Show by M.Ed. students in traditional Indian costumes. The next event was a fancy dress solo performance by Vishnu S Nair based on the issue of Transgender in the society. This session was also marked with solo song performances by Krishna M S and Akshara. The Programme atmosphere attained the peak of entertainment by the fusion cinematic dance by Vishnu S Nair, Ashmita Stanley, Felix L, Nandakripa, Basheer, Suresh, Akhil Mohan, Thalhana Rahman, Amal Jyothish, Anagha A S & Prasad S. The programme concluded with a high spirit of motivational appreciation of student’s performance by all the teachers. The Programme was a highlight event of the year with the participation of the maximum number of students and active involvement of teachers.
